Gerhard Anger was born in Munich in 1975. He studied medieval history, history of science, logic, philosophy of science, and media computer science.

He started working as a software developer and project manager for a multinational corporation in 2000. Later, he was the managing director of a startup in Berlin. He co-founded several companies, one of them focusing on AI, he co-owns a small publishing company and, as a pianist, regularly makes chamber music.

In his capacity as an expert for democracy in the digital age he has been invited to be a speaker at several international conferences by organizations like the OSCE and the National Democratic Institute.

He currently serves as the CTO of ART+COM.
