ROBODADA speed-dating with (un)friedly robots
Meet ROBODADA, an open-source toolkit to map facial expressions to body language of a robot. By adapting appearance and kinetic behavior, different aspects of interaction with emotion-aware robots can be explored in a playful manner.
Andreas Muxel is Professor for Physical Human-Machine Interfaces at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg where he founded and directs the HYBRID THINGS LAB. He is always looking for poetical and engaging tools for thinking, regardless of whether they are hardware or software. His work has been exhibited in several international exhibitions including ARS Electronica Festival Linz, FILE Festival São Paulo, GLOW Festival Eindhoven and TodaysArt Festival Brussels.
Elias Naphausen is Research Associate at the HYBRID THINGS LAB. He studied Interactive Media (BA) and Interactive Media Systems (MA) at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg. He is creating experience-rich media installations, worlds of sounds and virtual rooms. Elias is exploring associations between mind, eyes, ears, haptic and olfaction and has shown his work on different locations including xCoAx Madrid, 35C3 Leipzig, Asche zu Farbgut Festival and Lab30 Augsburg.
